Small but solid, this little Lansing spot is the kind of place you bring the kids when you just need some fresh air without a big production. The playground is on the compact side, best for the 2-8 crowd, so don’t expect anything elaborate — but the open grass field more than makes up for it if your kids just need to run. There’s a single-hoop basketball court for older siblings or parents who want to shoot around while the little ones play. Pack a lunch, because the picnic tables actually make it worth staying a while.
