Regent Park

Regent Park is a small, no-frills spot on the east side that does exactly what it needs to for the toddler-and-kindergarten crowd — a couple of slides, swings, and room to run. The wooded surroundings give it a calmer feel than a lot of city parks, and the walking path is a nice bonus if you want to stretch your legs while the kids play. There’s a drinking fountain on site, which parents will tell you matters more than it sounds on a hot afternoon. Just know it’s a quiet neighborhood park, so if you’re looking for a big feature-packed destination, this isn’t it — but for little ones, it gets the job done.
