Sandylands Park

Sandylands is one of those parks that actually does the job properly — enclosed play area for the little ones, slides and swings, and then a basketball court and soccer field for older kids who’ve outgrown the climbing frames. The grass field is genuinely well-kept, which isn’t something you can say about every park in Kendal. Grab one of the picnic tables and you’ve got a decent afternoon sorted without having to go anywhere. It works for all ages, which means you’re not constantly dragging siblings to separate spots across town.
