Abbot Hall Park Playground – South Lakeland District Council

Right in the heart of Kendal, this one’s had a proper glow-up recently and it shows. The zip wire alone makes it worth the trip — kids absolutely love it, and there’s a decent mix of slides, swings, and a merry-go-round to keep the younger ones busy too. Picnic tables under the shade trees mean you can actually settle in for a bit rather than hovering on the edge of the play area. Parking’s close by, which helps when you’ve got little ones in tow, and the open grass field gives older kids room to burn off whatever’s left after the playground’s done its job.
