Right in the middle of Macclesfield, Victoria Park punches well above its weight for a town-centre green space. The playground has had a proper upgrade recently — zipline, climbing frame, slides, and swings that actually get used rather than sitting there rusting. Kids from about 2 up to 12 will find something to keep them busy, and the mature trees mean you’re not just standing in the blazing sun watching them. The bandstand gives the whole place a bit of character, the paths are wide and flat enough for buggies without any faff, and the toilets and parking make it a genuinely easy trip rather than an ordeal.
