Tucked away in a quiet corner of Macclesfield, this one’s a solid local gem that doesn’t get enough credit. The play area is properly enclosed and kept clean — slides, swings, a climbing structure — so younger kids can run wild while you actually sit down for five minutes at the picnic tables. What sets it apart from most neighbourhood parks is the sports side of things: two hard-court 5-a-side pitches with basketball hoops, all free to use, which is genuinely rare. There’s also a walking path and open grass if you just fancy a wander or a kickabout with no pressure. It’s the kind of place where you can spend a whole afternoon without it feeling like a big deal.
