If you’re after proper open space without having to drive miles out of Reading, this one delivers. There’s a decent enclosed play area with swings, a climbing structure, and a zipline that keeps kids busy long enough for adults to actually relax. The football pitch gets regular use on weekends, and the walking path loops you past a scrappy little wooded section — apple trees and all — which makes it feel less urban than it actually is. Dogs love it here, and there’s parking on site, so it’s genuinely easy to just rock up and make an afternoon of it.
