Kings Meadow Playground

The play equipment here has seen better days — the slides and swings are functional but nothing special, and the zipline tends to divide opinion on whether it’s actually working on any given visit. Honestly, the real draw is the setting rather than the playground itself, which is overdue a proper refurbishment. That said, it’s a handy stop if you’re already doing the canal walk or taking the kids to watch the locks, which they genuinely love. Fine for a quick run-around for the under-6s, but don’t make a special trip just for the play equipment.
