Netley Playground

If you’re local and haven’t made it down to Netley for a picnic yet, you’re missing out. The views over Southampton Water are genuinely worth the trip on their own — sit on one of the benches and you’ve got a pretty decent afternoon sorted. The play area itself is fully enclosed, which makes a real difference if you’ve got younger ones, and there’s a climbing structure, slides, and swings to keep them busy while you actually get five minutes to yourself. Parking’s straightforward, the grass field gives kids room to run, and the walking path takes you down toward the stone beach if you fancy stretching the legs after.
