River Edge Park

If you’re local, you already know about the Sunday morning train rides — that play train is genuinely one of those things that gets kids (and honestly, adults) excited every single week. The views along the river are pretty hard to beat too, especially on a clear Bay of Plenty morning. There’s a skate park on site which keeps the older kids busy while little ones do their thing, and the picnic tables make it easy to just settle in for a few hours. Toilets are there when you need them, which always matters more than people admit when you’re wrangling kids.
