Memorial Park Playground

Right in the heart of Palmerston North, this spot has had a solid upgrade and it shows. The water feature keeps kids busy for ages, especially in summer when no one wants to leave, and the slides are genuinely good — not the token one-slide-and-done effort you get at some parks. Having the lake nearby adds to the whole vibe, giving you something to look at while the little ones do their thing. Works for all ages too, which is pretty rare without one end of the park feeling like an afterthought.
