Lakemba Reserve Playground

Tucked into one of Palmerston North’s quieter residential pockets, this little reserve is the kind of spot locals actually use rather than just drive past. It’s not going to blow anyone away, but that’s kind of the point — grab a picnic table under the shade trees, let the kids loose on the open grass, and actually relax for a bit. The tennis court access is a nice bonus if you’ve got rackets in the boot. Good for a low-key afternoon when you don’t want the chaos of a bigger park.
