If you’re after somewhere low-key in Palmerston North, this little reserve ticks the boxes. The swings keep younger kids busy while the open grass field gives them room to actually run around. There are picnic tables on site, so it’s genuinely worth packing lunch and making an afternoon of it. It’s a quiet neighbourhood spot — not a destination playground by any stretch, but that’s kind of the point.
