The older-style equipment suits the preschool crowd just fine, and the shade trees do serious work on a Canterbury summer afternoon. There’s enough open grass for kids to tear around while you actually sit down for five minutes on the shaded seating. Come autumn, the fallen leaves basically become the main attraction for toddlers anyway.
