Right on the edge of Lake Illawarra, this spot gets points just for the view alone. It’s accessible, which matters more than people realise until they actually need it, and being close to Reddall Reserve means you can easily stretch the outing if the kids aren’t ready to leave. Shops nearby mean you’re not stuck if you forget snacks or need a coffee to survive the afternoon. Honestly, the lakefront setting does a lot of the heavy lifting — it’s just a nicer place to sit and watch the kids play than your average suburban setup.
