Right on the edge of Lake Illawarra, this one’s a solid pick if you want a playground that actually works for everyone in the group. The lakeside setting does a lot of the heavy lifting — kids can play while the adults just sit and watch the water, which honestly isn’t the worst way to spend a Sunday. It’s accessible, so no one gets left out, and the area around it opens up plenty of options beyond the playground itself, including stand-up paddleboarding if your crew is up for it. Pelican Park playground is close by too, worth knowing if you’ve got kids who want to keep the day going.
