Locals know this riverfront spot is legitimately one of the better playgrounds in the city — and it actually lives up to the hype. Kids have a lot to work with here: slides, swings, a merry-go-round, zipline, sandbox, and musical equipment that somehow doesn’t get old. The interactive water feature is the real draw, especially on hot Nebraska summers when everyone ends up soaked anyway. Shaded seating, restrooms, and picnic tables mean parents can actually settle in for a few hours without scrambling. The enclosed area works well for younger kids, and with the pond nearby, it’s an easy full-afternoon situation for pretty much any age.
