Plenty of school playgrounds around Ainslie are forgettable, but this one at North Ainslie Primary has a way of pulling people together. It’s the kind of spot where you end up chatting longer than you planned, mostly because the kids are happy and you’re not anxious about where they’ve wandered off to. Dads especially seem to find their footing here — there’s something about the relaxed atmosphere that makes it easier to just be present. It suits kids of all ages, and honestly it’s done as much for the adults as it has for the children.
