Curlewis Crescent Playground

The rocks are the real drawcard here — this little Garran playground is built right around a natural rock formation, which gives it a lot more character than your standard suburban setup. Kids can scramble over the rocks, then move onto the climbing structure with its metal slide and chain ladder. There’s swings too, with both standard and toddler seats covered, so it works well for a range of ages. The mature trees do a solid job of keeping things shaded, which matters a lot on a hot Canberra afternoon. Best suited to toddlers and younger kids, but honestly it’s one of the more interesting local spots in the area.
