If you live on the south side, you probably already know this one. The flying fox is the main drawcard — kids queue up for it on weekends — but there’s plenty more going on, with climbing structures, slides, and swings spread across a genuinely spacious layout. Toddlers get their own fenced area, which makes a big difference if you’ve got mixed ages in tow. Pack a lunch and use the BBQ, because the picnic setup here is actually worth staying for, and the shade trees do real work in summer. The bike track and walking paths backing onto the forest make it easy to turn a playground trip into a proper half-day out.
