Wade St is one of those older-style playgrounds that hasn’t been dolled up with all the flashy new equipment, and honestly that’s part of the charm. The climbing structure gives kids something that actually requires a bit of effort — none of that toddler-friendly nonsense where everything’s within arm’s reach. Slides and swings round it out, keeping the younger ones happy while older kids work out how to tackle the obstacles. The shade trees do a solid job on hot Canberra days, and there are picnic tables if you want to make a proper afternoon of it.
