If you live on the lower north shore, you’ve probably already discovered this one. The swings are solid for kids of all ages, and the big old trees mean you’re not baking in the sun while you wait. Pack a lunch — the picnic tables actually get used here, not just rained on — and stake out a spot near the grotto where the kids can watch trains go past, which honestly keeps them occupied longer than you’d expect. It’s a proper local park, nothing flashy, just a good place to spend a few hours without driving anywhere.
