If you’re local to Tingalpa, you probably already know this one’s a bit of a gem. The aeroplane-themed climbing structure and slides keep kids busy while adults set up at the BBQ or shaded picnic tables — it’s genuinely one of the better-equipped spots in the area for a proper family afternoon out. The water feature adds a nice touch on hot Queensland days, and the walking paths along the ponds and Bulimba Creek are worth doing even if you don’t have kids in tow — herons, ducks, the lot. Shade trees are plentiful enough that you’re not stuck hunting for a decent spot in summer. Throw in clean toilets and an open grass field and there’s really not much missing here.
