Porters Paddock Park playground

The aeroplane-themed equipment is the obvious drawcard for kids, but honestly Porters Paddock is just a solid all-round park that Tingalpa locals keep coming back to. The ponds attract a decent variety of water birds, so bring some old bread if you’ve got little ones who are into that kind of thing. There’s a good walking path looping around, plenty of shade trees and covered seating for when the Queensland sun gets serious, and the BBQ and picnic setup means you can easily make a half-day of it. Parking is easy, the bathrooms are kept reasonably clean, and parents can keep an eye on the kids without having to hover — the sightlines are good throughout.
