The Square at West Beach Parks

Pretty hard to beat this spot on a weekend morning — you’ve got the beach literally right there, and the park itself has enough going on to keep the kids busy for hours. The climbing structure gets a solid workout from the 4+ crowd, and there’s plenty of open grass for kids who just want to run. Grab a table in the shaded seating area, fire up one of the BBQs, and you’re set for a proper afternoon. The cafe does decent coffee and hot chips, which honestly makes the whole thing. Parking’s easy too, which is more than you can say for most beachfront spots around here.
