Cottesloe Beach Playground

Right between the car park and the sand, this one’s hard to beat on a summer morning before the beach gets too packed. Kids get a climbing structure, slides, and a sandbox, while you can actually see what they’re up to from the picnic tables — which, yes, also face out toward Rottnest on a clear day. There’s an open grass area if someone needs to run off steam, and the shade trees do enough work to make it bearable. It’s split into sections so toddlers and older kids both have something to do, which keeps the peace. Honestly, just fold it into a beach day and everyone wins.
