Gorey really lucked out with this one. The playground itself covers all the basics well — slides, swings, a climbing structure — but it’s the wider setup that makes it worth the trip, with a soccer field, open grass, and a walking path that loops around near the water. Parents can keep an eye on the kids without hovering, and there are picnic tables and benches if you want to actually sit down and relax for five minutes. The shade trees make a real difference on a warm day, and parking is handy so you’re not dragging everything halfway across town. Honestly, it’s one of those spots that works for the whole family, not just the under-sevens.
