If you’re anywhere near Gorey on a decent day, Wells House is worth the trip — the woodland walk alone keeps kids busy for ages, and the wooden sculptures dotted through the trees genuinely stop them in their tracks. It’s the kind of place where toddlers can toddle and older kids can actually roam without you hovering. Bring a picnic, because the tables and shade trees make it easy to set up properly rather than eating on your lap in a car park. They do car shows here too, which sounds random but honestly adds to the whole day-out feel. One of those spots that locals have quietly known about for years.
