If you’ve got kids under five, this is honestly one of the better spots in the area to burn a morning. The musical equipment always gets a good reaction from the little ones, and the slides and swings are well-sized for toddlers without being overwhelming. Shade trees keep things bearable on a hot Canterbury day, and the toilets are reliably clean — which, if you’re a parent, you know matters more than it should. There’s an open grass field for older siblings to kick a ball around, and the trails nearby mean you can stretch the outing into something a bit more adventurous if the kids still have energy left.
