Older kids finally get something worth their time here — the climbing structure actually has some challenge to it, which makes a difference when you’ve got a 10-year-old who’s bored of toddler equipment. The slides and swings are solid too, nothing fancy but they get used hard. It’s geared toward the 7-and-up crowd, so expect kids who want to push themselves a bit rather than just wander around. If you’re staying in Hanmer Springs for the weekend, this is worth adding to the list after the pools.
