Hanmer’s a small town, so honestly this little playground punches above its weight for families with toddlers. It’s right near the shops, which makes it an easy pitstop when you’re running errands or grabbing lunch — no special trip required. The setup is scaled for the under-5 crowd, so little ones can actually handle the equipment without you hovering the whole time. There’s a BBQ area and picnic tables if you want to make an afternoon of it, and the pond nearby gives the kids something to look at when they need a break from playing. Toilets on site too, which, with toddlers, is basically non-negotiable.
