Onerahi – Beach Road Reserve

Right on the waterfront at Onerahi, this reserve is one of those spots locals keep coming back to because it genuinely works for everyone. The kids have swings and a climbing structure to keep them busy, while the grown-ups sort out the BBQ and claim a picnic table with a proper sea view. There’s a decent stretch of open grass that gives everyone room to breathe, plus a walking path if you want to stretch your legs after lunch. Parking is easy, the toilets are clean, and the whole place is wheelchair accessible — which honestly isn’t a given at spots like this.
