One of those spots you’re genuinely glad exists in the neighbourhood — Tuhangi is low-key and easy, exactly what you want for a relaxed afternoon with little ones. The shade trees are the real drawcard here, keeping things cool even when Northland decides to turn up the heat. There’s a decent stretch of open grass for kids to do their thing, and the restrooms are actually clean, which honestly makes or breaks a park visit with toddlers. It’s quiet enough that you can sit on a bench and properly unwind rather than just hover anxiously. Bring a snack and stay a while.
