If you’re a Dunedin local, you probably already know Woodhaugh Gardens is one of those spots that just works for a relaxed afternoon out. The open grass field gives kids plenty of room to run while adults actually get to decompress, and the walking paths along the forest edge make it easy to extend the outing once everyone’s ready to move. It’s wheelchair accessible, which isn’t something you can always count on in Dunedin’s hillier parks. Pack a lunch — this place was made for a picnic.
