Locals know Memorial Gardens is one of those spots you can actually spend a proper afternoon at without running out of things to do. The fully fenced area means you’re not constantly chasing toddlers, and there’s enough gear to keep older kids busy too — it’s genuinely good for mixed-age families. Chuck a sausage on the free BBQ, wander past the rose garden, and if the kids need a break from the playground there’s a skate park nearby. Toilets on site, parking sorted, and it’s a quiet enough part of Mosgiel that you can actually hear yourself think.
