Tasman Holiday Parks – Te Anau

If you’re stopping through Te Anau, this holiday park is genuinely one of the better bases you’ll find in Southland. The staff actually know the area and will point you in the right direction without making you feel like you’re bothering them. Facilities are kept properly clean — bathrooms, kitchens, all of it — which isn’t something you can always count on at holiday parks. The hot tubs are a solid bonus after a long day on the Milford Road, and pizza night is the kind of low-key touch that makes a place feel more like a community than just somewhere to park your van.
