Right on the edge of Lake Taupō, this domain playground is the kind of spot locals keep coming back to on weekends — and honestly, you can see why. The play setup covers a decent range of ages, with slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a little play train that younger kids absolutely lose their minds over. There’s a water feature to cool off in when the sun’s doing its thing, and the shade trees and covered seating mean parents aren’t just standing around baking. Restrooms are clean, parking is easy, and the open grass field gives bigger kids room to actually run. With the lake right there as a backdrop, it’s hard to find a better afternoon out in Taupō without spending a cent.
