Ardley Playground

If you’re cutting through on the M40 and need a proper stop with kids, this one’s worth the detour. There’s a solid mix of kit — slides, swings, a seesaw, climbing frame, and a sandbox that younger ones will absolutely refuse to leave. The picnic tables make it genuinely easy to eat without sitting on the ground, which sounds obvious but plenty of playgrounds around here don’t bother. Free parking on-site, a football pitch if older kids need to burn off more energy — it covers a lot of bases. Locals use it regularly, and it shows — the place is kept in decent shape.
