Moss Bank Park, Car Park

If you’re local to Bolton and haven’t taken the kids to Moss Bank Park yet, you’re missing out on one of the better free days out in the area. The play area has a solid mix — climbing structure, slides, a water feature that’ll soak them in about 30 seconds flat, and a play train the little ones absolutely lose their minds over. Parents can actually sit and breathe here, with decent bench and picnic table placement that keeps the whole area in view. Beyond the play stuff, there’s proper walking trails, open grass, a lake nearby, and forest paths if you want to stretch your legs or tire out the dog while you’re at it. Café on site, toilets, parking — it’s one of those parks that has genuinely thought things through.
