Locals know Duckspond as one of those low-key spots that just works — a decent stretch of open grass where kids can run themselves ragged while you actually get a proper walk in. The field’s big enough for a kickabout, and younger ones seem to love having that kind of space without anything hemming them in. It’s got that relaxed, friendly feel where you’ll often bump into familiar faces from the Buckfastleigh area. Best suited to the under-10s, honestly.
