Duxford Park

If you’re local to Cambridge and haven’t taken the kids to Duxford Park yet, you’re missing out. The playground punches well above its size — there’s a zipline that the older kids absolutely mob, plus a pirate ship climbing structure, tire swing, merry-go-round, and a seesaw that keeps the toddlers busy while everyone else queues for the zip. Parents get a decent view of the whole setup from the benches and picnic tables, which sit under proper shade trees — genuinely useful on a warm day. The open grass and soccer field give kids room to burn off whatever energy the playground didn’t take care of, and on air show days the whole park takes on a bit of a festival atmosphere. There’s a cafe on site too, so you’re not scrambling for snacks.
