Romsey Recreation Ground

The zipline alone makes this place worth the trip if you’ve got kids under 8 — it’s a proper one, not some token afterthought. Romsey Rec has a solid mix of slides, swings, and climbing nets that keep little ones occupied long enough for the grown-ups to actually sit down. The benches are right there by the play area, which sounds obvious but not every park gets that right. It’s well-kept, the toilets are on site, and there’s a basketball court and football pitch if older siblings need somewhere to burn off energy. Locals use this place a lot, and it shows — it’s one of those parks that clearly gets looked after.
