Pirate Playground

If you’ve got kids anywhere between 2 and 12, this one’s worth going out of your way for. The centrepiece is a proper wooden pirate ship with climbing structures built around it, and once they’ve spotted the zipline, good luck getting them to leave. There’s a sandbox, a water feature that turns into splash pools when the weather plays along, and the whole thing is fully enclosed so you’re not constantly doing headcounts. Picnic tables, benches, and decent shade trees mean you can actually sit down and relax rather than hover — the sightlines are good enough that you can see the whole space from pretty much anywhere. The inclusive equipment is a genuine plus, not just a token gesture.
