West Park Play Area

Honestly one of the nicer spots in Darlington for a relaxed afternoon out — the play area itself is kept pretty clean, which you’ll appreciate if you’ve been to some of the rougher patches around town. There are swings and a sandbox for the little ones, nothing over the top, but the quirky activities dotted around give kids something a bit different to get stuck into. What really makes it worth the trip is the setting — you’ve got the lake nearby, open grass to run around on, and a walking path that loops through the parkland if you want to stretch your legs after. Good for families who want more than just the playground itself.
