Phillips Memorial Park Play Area

One of Godalming’s proper gems, this enclosed play area sits inside Phillips Memorial Park where the gardens are genuinely well-maintained and the riverside setting makes it worth the trip on its own. Kids from toddlers up to about 12 get decent apparatus to work with, and the enclosure means you’re not constantly chasing anyone toward the water. Grab one of the picnic tables and you’re sorted for a decent chunk of the afternoon — the bandstand and open grass give everyone room to spread out. The path along the river is a nice way to wind things down once the little ones have burnt off some energy.
