If you’ve got a dog that needs a proper run, this is one of those spots locals keep to themselves for good reason. The enclosed play area means you’re not constantly stressed about your pet bolting, and the open grass field gives everyone — kids, dogs, whoever — actual room to move. It’s kept in genuinely good shape, which isn’t something you can say about every village playing field in this part of Northamptonshire. Parking’s easy enough, so it’s worth the trip even if you’re not right in West Haddon itself.
