Playground Salkeld Road

Salkeld Road has had a proper upgrade lately — the new swings and climbing structure are solid kit, not the tired old stuff you see at half the parks around Penrith. The open grass field next to it is genuinely big, good enough for a kick-about or getting a kite up on a breezy day. On a clear afternoon the views out toward the Lake District hills are hard to beat, honestly one of the better outlooks from any local park. The tarmac path makes getting there straightforward whether you’re pushing a buggy or a wheelchair.
