Honestly, this place gets pretty busy on weekends and school holidays, so go early if you want a decent spot at the picnic tables. There’s a good mix of stuff here — slides and swings for the little ones, a sandbox, and a water feature that the kids absolutely lose their minds over in summer. Older ones tend to gravitate toward the basketball court or just take over the open grass field for a kickabout. It genuinely works for all ages, which isn’t something you can say about every play area in Peterborough. A solid family afternoon out without having to drive far.
