Palmer Park Wokingham Road Playground

Palmer Park is one of those spots that genuinely delivers — the play equipment is modern and actually well-maintained, which you don’t always get in Reading. There’s a decent split between areas for younger kids and older ones, so nobody’s bored or out of place. The café is handy for grabbing a coffee while the kids burn off energy, and parking is straightforward enough that it doesn’t become a whole thing. It does get busy on weekends, so if you want a bit more breathing room, a weekday morning is your best bet. The open grass and walking path give it room to breathe beyond just the play area itself.
