One of the better spots in Sutton Park if you’ve got kids between 2 and 12 — the wooden climbing structure and slides keep them busy while you actually get to sit down at a picnic table under proper shade. The sandbox is a hit with the little ones, and parents tend to appreciate how open the layout is — you can watch the kids without constantly chasing after them. It does get busy on weekends, so if you want a quieter visit, a weekday morning is the move. What makes it worth the trip beyond the play equipment is everything surrounding it: decent walking trails, a bike track, open grass, and a pond nearby that the kids always want to investigate. Parking is straightforward, and there are restrooms on site, which honestly makes or breaks a day out with young children.
